Frequently Asked Questions
Why does COCOYO taste different from other yogurts?
COCOYO is a raw and unpasteurized yogurt made with only three ingredients: two young Thai coconuts, pressed fruit juice, and a natural sweetener. It’s also a living food which results in billions of probiotics and a unique, effervescent texture.
Why is COCOYO effervescent?
COCOYO is a living product and continues to ferment after being packaged. Depending on temperature conditions during transport (to retailers, as well as the journey to your refrigerator) the texture and consistency of COCOYO – which is naturally fluffy and effervescent – may slightly vary.
Why does COCOYO contain Stevia?
Our beloved consumers have requested that we reduce the sugar content by using natural alternative sweeteners. We choose to use small amounts of stevia in place of sugar due to the long-documented health risks of excess sugar consumption. We researched all possible alternatives to sugar and chose a natural, and non-G.M.O. option that has zero calories and just the right amount of sweetness.
What probiotic strains does COCOYO contain and are they naturally occurring?
COCOYO contains a diverse blend of naturally occurring probiotics. The dominant probiotics are Lactobacillus, Lactocuccus, and Leuconostoc strains.
